Elderly Recipient Certificate

An Elderly Recipient Certificate is issued to members and their dependents who are 70 years or older and it shows your self-pay rate( 20% or 30%) of the medical expenses. If you are 70 years or older, you must present the certificate at the medical institution together with your Membership Card.
PMAC also pays the amount equivalent to Benefit for High-cost Medical Care to the medical institution, which is normally paid later as a benefit payment, thus you need not pay the cost of the care at the hospital.

Issuance

The certificate will be sent to members and their dependents at the 70th birthmonth. No procedures are required.

Note

Your self-pay ratio may be altered when your Monthly Standard Salary changes or you requests the standard income application. Upon receipt of a new certificate with a revised self-pay ratio, return the old one to PMAC.
